For Nam June Paik (1932–2006), Art Was A Permanent Experiment That Questioned Social, Political, Technological, And Economic Processes. Numerous Documents—Musical Scores, Letters, Texts, And Photographs—Contribute To An Appreciation Of Paik’S Complicated Work And Ideas, As Well As The Conceptual Core Of His Oeuvre. The Book Also Shows How His Close Collaborations With Other Artists—Such As The Members Of Fluxus, His “Muse,” The Legendary Cellist And Action Artist Charlotte Moorman, And Joseph Beuys—Strongly Influenced The Work Of This Trained Composer And Musician, Co-Founder Of The Fluxus Movement And Former Professor At The Art Academy In Düsseldorf.
